It's My Birthday! With hanntatts @ Wicked Ink - Oops, I Got Another Tattoo!

When Work Gives You b’day Cash, You Know What That Means!

My dirty thirty is here and the team at GGSP knew there was only one thing that I wanted in life, tattoos.

In March, I announced to GGSP that I would be leaving the team and starting a new job in the animation industry. I had about five weeks to spend as much time with the gang and for my birthday, we went out for burgers and beers and they gave me a birthday card, with beautiful, golden cash inside. Seems like they know me too well!

We joked that I would get a tattoo of the GGSP logo, but I probably wouldn’t even if GGSP has largely contributed to who I am as a professional. So, I decided to get something on my tattoo wishlist, a lemon tattoo! Actually, I was worried that yellow ink wasn’t going to show up on my skin. I’ve been told that my skin holds colour well, but paler colours not so much. I went to see hanntatts for a quick banger on the shin and it turned out beautifully. It’s traditional, but not quite traditional; it’s not neo-traditional or new school either, but it is a type of style I lean towards and hanntatts just gets it right. Blue is not really a “traditional” colour in that style of tattoos or with flowers too, but blue and yellow represent GGSP. Thank you for the tattoo money and for the many shenanigans that happened at work both on-screen and off! And another big thank you to hanntatts and the team at Wicked Ink for always keeping me entertained.
